Nifty Noshes wasn't born in a boardroom, but amidst the vibrant energy of the Cape Town market scene, back in 2019. What began as a passion for crafting delicious treats has blossomed into a journey of flavour discovery, with our uniquely inspired samoosas taking centre stage.

 

We've always been driven by a simple yet powerful idea: to infuse familiar snacks with unexpected twists and a whole lot of love. From our early days building connections with the bustling market crowds, we quickly realised that people craved something beyond the ordinary. We felt that the humble samoosa truly captured our adventurous spirit. We saw in its simple form an endless canvas for culinary creativity. Why limit ourselves to the expected when a symphony of flavours could be folded into that delicate pastry?

 

And so, the adventure began. We dared to dream beyond traditional flavors, venturing into the delightful surprise of a milktart samoosa, the comforting richness of malva pudding, the decadent indulgence of chocolate brownie, and so much more. Each flavour is a testament to our belief that snacking should be an exciting experience, a little moment of joy that sparks curiosity and satisfies the soul.

 

Our foundation was set within the Cape Town market scene, having traded at numerous well-known markets, including the Chilled Market at the Range, the Palms Market, the Under the Trees Market, the Earthfair Market, and more! We connected with people who shared our passion for flavour and appreciated the care we poured into every creation.

 

In 2021, our journey took us eastward to the welcoming shores of Gqeberha. Undeterred, we brought our unique flavours with us, finding a new home and a warm reception at markets like the What's Good in the Hood Market, where we've proudly become a familiar face.

Leoda Ariefdien is a passionate home cook from Cape Town, South Africa. Fueled by a lifelong dream of owning her own business and a deep love for food, Leoda gave life to Nifty Noshes by transforming her home kitchen into a culinary workshop. Her entrepreneurial spirit and creative culinary vision drive the company.

 

Starting humbly at local markets, Leoda introduced Cape Town to the unique and tantalizing flavors of Nifty Noshes. Her innovative approach to the humble samoosa, experimenting with unexpected flavor combinations, quickly garnered a loyal following.

 

Today, as the sole shareholder and manager, Leoda oversees all aspects of the business, ensuring that all of Nifty Noshesʼs products reflect her dedication to quality and creativity. Her passion for food, combined with her entrepreneurial drive, has made Nifty Noshes a beloved brand synonymous with delicious and distinctive flavors.
